Jacob Kjær (1896–1957), Danish architect and cabinetmaker, trained in both Copenhagen and Paris and later became Director of the Danish Museum of Decorative Art. This transitional armchair by Kjær spans the transitional period in the early 1940s rooted in English wingback but more restrained. Recently upholstered with a beautiful orange/brown plaid with contrasting back/side. Produced by cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær, Denmark.
