Widely successfully German industrial designer Lutz Colani (1928-2019) began his illustrious career designing cars for companies including Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Volkswagen, and BMW. He went on to create a wide range of unconventional "biodynamic" household product designs. This rare desk and chair set (Model "Tobifant" from 1977) was designed for children using stacked plywood that is cut and shaped - then laminated. Both the chair and the table are adjustable for growing kids using a removable tendon joint. Marked 'Kinderlübke Colani Collection' - Germany 1977.
