crystal mirror, Fontana Arte, Italy
Studying interiors at École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Max Ingrand (1908-1969) later became a celebrated French designer - particular for his work in crystal glass. This pair of mirrors was created while he was the creative director for the Milanese lighting and glass company Fontana Arte. Two panels of organically shaped oval crystal glass, the top glass panel in a smoke gray that allows the emerald green glass panel behind to show thru. Four chrome supports hold the panels together. Exceptional pair of Italian artistry. 1960s.
