The modernist tradition of steam bending wood to create thick curved lines for furniture was readily adopted by the Czechoslovakian designers coming out of the Bauhaus movement. This pair of slipper chairs by Ludvik Volak are sleek and sexy - bentwood legs support the seat with a central supporting stretcher. Original black faux leather with a patchwork stitching detail.
