POUL HENNINGSEN
PH 4/3 Table Lamp, 1920s design, Denmark
PH 4/3 Table Lamp, 1920s design, Denmark
Designed by Poul Henningsen, the PH 4/3 Table Lamp is part of his iconic three-shade system, developed in 1925–26 to create soft, glare-free light. The shades use Henningsen’s logarithmic spiral design to distribute light evenly while reducing glare and harsh shadows.
The PH 4/3 features an approximately 40 cm top shade paired with lower shades from the 3/3 model, creating a distinctive hybrid within the three-shade family. The current form of the PH 4/3 Table was introduced in 1966 and is part of Louis Poulsen’s tradition of functional Scandinavian lighting.
The lamp features spun aluminum shades, a high-lustre chrome-plated spun brass base and steel stem, with a black 8-foot cord and in-line on/off switch. Class: cULus, Dry location.
Light source 1 × A-19 bulb (medium base) (15 W max)
