Doric columnar tall case partially gilt clock
Popularized by the clockmaking tradition of Mora region in Sweden in the early 18th century - this later 19th century longcase example has an Empire style Doric fluted column extending from the base without pediment. Partial gilt including a double handled Grecian urn. Classic rounded bonnet top holding the etched and painted clock face with brass hands. Pendulum, Winding key and Two weights are enclosed. Denmark, c1875. We have not tested clock function.
