Henning Kjærnulf (1927–1989) was a Danish furniture designer known for his ornately sculptural pieces with bold & decorative elements - often using baroque and gothic influences. This pair of low seated armchairs has his classic sharp cut out back resembling a razor blade - just one of a large number of design using this feature. Flat paddle arms and a shaped skirt surrounding the seat. Green striped wood upholstered seats. Produced by Nurup Møbelfabrik in Denmark 1960s.
