After opening his first design studio in 1939 at the age of 24, Swiss-born Willy Guhl (1915-2004) went on to become a leading industrial inventor, educator and furniture designer. He is best known for the extensive line of weather resistant outdoor pieces produced using a strong yet flexible "fibre cement" that he collaborated with Eternet of Switzerland.
