DAVID DEW BRUNER
"Oculus II" digital print on archival paper, Unframed
"Oculus II" digital print on archival paper, Unframed
Created by local Hudson artist David Dew Bruner (b. 1954) whose abstract work has a visual reference based in history. In this case, the references are both Sonia Delaney and Frank Lloyd Wright. With sweeping and fluid lines, the original work in graphite presents numerous images - 1) the oculus in Greek/roman architecture which is the eye of god. 2) which becomes the rose window and its tracery in gothic cathedrals and 3) the patterning in the works of Delaney and Wright.
The Oculus is the first serialized work by David and offered exclusively by FINCH as part of our local artisans collaboration project. A framed digital ink jet printed artwork on acid free 100% cotton archival paper. Each print is hand signed, numbered and dated.
Limited edition of 25. Printed in Hudson, NY. Also available framed. More original pieces available at Carrie Haddad Gallery in Hudson.
