Italian born Cesare Occhi emigrated to the US in the 1950s and was employed at the George Nakashima Studio and followed the renowned organic modernist style in his work. This coffee table from the Occhi design studio in Doylestown PA is dated in 2000 and is constructed in a bright and polished solid oakwood plank to the top and side legs. Wonderful butterfly joinery to the top in a contrasting dark-stained walnut. Marked to bottom : Cesare Occhi & Son, Doylestown, PA, 12-8-2000.
