Born in Brescia, Italy in 1927, Carlo Hauner, along with his partner Martin Eisler, began a successful design business (Forma S/A Móveis e Objetos de Arte) from their home base in Brazil and were immersed in the vibrant Latin America modern design movement. This garden chair was introduced in 1968 under the model "California" and was produced in Italy by Fratelli Reguitti in Brevettato.
