Noted Japanese designer Taichiro Nakai who participated in the Italian Selettiva del Mobili design competition in Cantù in 1955 - Italy's response the growing popularity of Scandinavian furniture. He won a special jury prize that year - where he introduced his newest standing wall unit creation. Clean Japanese geometry combined with sleek Italian styling. Beautiful solid brass handles for all doors and drawers. Zig-zag pattern is supported by black-lacquered metal tubing. Produced by La Permanente Mobili in Cantù, Italy, 1950s. Case can be separated into two parts for ease of transport.
