1930S VICTOR COURNEY
oversized leather Spanish Revival armchair
oversized leather Spanish Revival armchair
Victor Henri Courtray (1896–1987) was one of France's leading decorators and furniture designers who blended refined Art Deco with regional Basque traditions in his pieces. This oversized leather armchair is attributed to Courtnay with a classic channeled back and exaggerated & turned wood arms and a brutalist frame. A bit of Spanish Revival in it's viewpoint. Produced in France 1930s.
