1963 PIERO RANZANI
large 83" walnut & exotic wood bar/credenza
large 83" walnut & exotic wood bar/credenza
Piero Ranzani (1929–2019) is one of those comparatively under-discussed figures of postwar Italian design who worked in the powerful Brianza workshop-manufacturing region just north of Milan. His 83" credenza was designed with several functions -primarily a sideboard with typical 2-door cabinet opening to partitioned shelving. The right side has four small drawers below a unique top-accessed open compartment for a bar & bottle storage. Constructed with gorgeous exotic veneer (possible rosewood) over a lightly stained walnut cabinetry. Produced 1960s by the Italian manufacturer Elam in Medina.
