A spectacular two-handled glazed earthenware vase probably by Angelo Simonetto (1906-1961) who collaborated with the important ceramics workshop Società Ceramica Galvani, based in Pordenone, Friuli, northeastern Italy - during their move to modernism. The firm was particularly accomplished at aerografo—airbrush decoration—combined with masks or stencils. This exceptional vase is decorated with an antelope in a green stylized landscape, trees, clouds and black handles/base. Pordenone, Italy, 1930s. Bottom marks.
