Henning Kjærnulf (1911–1975) was a Danish architect and furniture designer who often combined traditional Nordic craftsmanship with bold, almost medieval or baroque motifs. Though known for slightly brutalist work - this set of dining chairs in a solid bright ashwood with a carved frame, scalloped at the seat front with a sculptural ladder back. Newer striped seating. probably produced by Nyrup Møbelfabrik in Denmark. Set of eight. We can help with new upholstery.
