Poul Cadovius (1911–2011), Danish architect and designer was best known for combining modernist aesthetics with modular, space-saving innovations - his iconic Royal System of wall mounted shelving was a global sensation. The "Governor" series was his nod to executive luxury. Constructed in richly figured Brazilian rosewood with a distinctive checkered parquetry inlay top. A sled style leg for stability. Designed in 1964 as Model FD 514 with production metal plaquette by France & Søn. Denmark.
