Founded in Klingnau, Switzerland, in 1965 from a family saddlery business, de Sede became known for exceptionally crafted leather furniture, particularly its innovative modular seating systems. Designed around 1970 by de Sede's in-house team, the DS-11 reflects a new approach to domestic seating: low profile, generous and modular, with individual elements that can be arranged to suit a space rather than conform to the proportions of a conventional sofa.
