Roger Capron was one of the leading figures of postwar French ceramics, known for transforming traditional pottery techniques into modern furniture and architectural design. This figural "Herbier" earthenware topped coffee table is made with real leaves pressed into tile in a series of radiating botanicals. Supported by an open leg structure with cross stretcher. Produced at his Côte d'Azur studio in Vallauris, France (1950s to early 60s).
