A perfect example of an architectural organic modern shelving system constructed using solid European oakwood - somewhat Brutalist in viewpoint but with visual lightness. Three thick uprights supports (71" height) with structural sled legs repeated at the top to maintain balance. A set of lower paneled doors - double at left an single at right with exposed wood corner nails and turned oak pulls. Its best feature is the adjustable shelves that are supported by cast steel loop pins that are both a locking mechanism and decorative element. Belgium c1968.
