Stilnovo 6 light "Alberello" floor lamp, Milan
Stilnovo 6 light "Alberello" floor lamp, Milan
Stilnovo, one of the most important Italian lighting manufacturers of the post-war modern period engaging in continuous experimentation since 1948 under Bruno Gatta. This six globe floor lamp was introduced in the late 1950s as the "Alberello" or "little tree" and represents the playful modernism in Italian design. Probably a Gaetano Sciolari creation - but not definitive. Original colored cased glass globes (rare) are supported by brass cones connected to thin black lacquered steel stems. A classic white marble base completes the scene. Produced in Milan from the late 1950s to early 1960s.
