Jindřich Halabala (1903–1978) was a renowned Czech furniture designer, architect, and educator who played a pivotal role in shaping modernist furniture design in Czechoslovakia. This pair of nightstands retain strong Art Deco influences. Beautifully shaped case veneered in a dark-stained root walnut with four beechwood pad feet. Black glass covers the primary top and smaller inset extension. Sold as a pair. Natural sun-bleaching created an interesting contrast.
