Lella & Massimo Vignelli "Saratoga" chair + table

Lella & Massimo Vignelli maintained one of the most influential creative partnerships in 20th-century design - a rare example of a truly equal design partnership.  Often graphic and industrial.  This lounge chair and ottoman is part of the "Saratoga" line they created for Italian powerhouse Poltronova.  Its bold geometry includes a simple square wood base on three sides in a beautiful red lacquer.  The pair of overstuffed black leather cushions are incredibly comfortable - and relate perfectly to the blacked plinth base.  Designed 1964.  Italy Ottoman is 35.5" square and 12.4" height.  Sold as a set
