curved front cherrywood Vitrine, Arrighi, Italy
curved front cherrywood Vitrine, Arrighi, Italy
Paolo Buffa (1903–1970) was an Italian designer and architect active in Milan, known for bridging classical tradition and modern design in the mid-20th century. This exceptional cabinet is constructed in a bright cherrywood showing its aged golden amber glow with a slightly convex facade (hallmark Buffa). Two six glass panel doors are beautifully shaped and with hand finished trim. Softened architectural base showing his mastery of decorative classicism. Attributed to Paolo Buffa and likely produced by the Milanese cabinetmaking workshop Serafino Arrighi, Milan Italy. Fully restored.
