Though smoking tobacco was not unusual by the late 1800s - the golden age of cigarette culture 1920s and 1930 when smoking becomes fashionable, modern, and increasingly accepted for women. The smoking table was found in many homes as a centerpiece of social life. This small square table is actually various birch woods - either dark stained root birch for the primary case and a contrasting light birch design to one side. Inlay sheif of wheat decor. Cabinet includes shelves, drawers and a drop down compartment. Price includes refinish of the case and top.
