Gammelgaard was a Danish architect and furniture designer whose work bridged the classic Danish cabinetmaking tradition and the more industrial, architectural design of the 1970s and 1980s. His EJ20 sofa line was designed in 1979 - and upholstered in richly patinated dark brown leather. The sofa combines a low, architectural silhouette with generous proportions and exceptionally comfortable loose cushions. Distinctive cylindrical legs combining pale beech and darker mahogany. Produced by Erik Jørgensen Møbelfabrik, Denmark.
