LATE 1930S SWEDISH GRACE
53" bar cabinet in ribbon-striped mahogany w/intarsia
53" bar cabinet in ribbon-striped mahogany w/intarsia
An exceptional Swedish Grace cocktail cabinet dating to the 1930s, veneered in richly ribbon-striped mahogany and decorated with finely executed figurative intarsia. There's something rather wonderfully Jazz Age about the pair of finely dressed women with drink and music - a possible Mjölby Intarsia. The case is rounded at sides and open to a mirrored and glass interior with fitted bottle/glass racks and brass hardware. Sweden c. 1930-1935. Not updated to US electrical.
