medium sized storage cabinet in mahogany on stand
medium sized storage cabinet in mahogany on stand
An exceptionally elegant Swedish Modern cabinet dating to the early 1940s, veneered in mahogany with dramatically figured root-veneer doors. The compact cabinet is elevated on a tall, finely proportioned mahogany stand with subtly tapered legs and inset stretchers, giving the substantial upper case an unusual sense of lightness. A clean front with only a key for hardware. Opens to a case with two compartments and two smaller lower drawers. Sweden, c. 1940-45.
