pair of forged bronze and cast glass coffee tables, Germany
Lothar Klute (b. 1946) is a German designer, sculptor, and master metalworker whose work from the 1970s–1990s is associated with a refined form of European Brutalism. This highly sought pair was produced in small numbers through his Atelier combining hand-forged bronze framing over tapered tripod legs and pad feet. The organically shaped top in his signature textured cast glass underneath with a smooth surface and a natural green edge coloration from the iron content and glass thickness. Exceptional pair.
