1960S DITTE & ADRIAN HEATH
pair Model 242 ashwood & leather cantilever chairs
pair Model 242 ashwood & leather cantilever chairs
Ditte and Adrian Heath were a husband-and-wife Danish design team working during the period when Danish Modern was moving beyond the delicate teak furniture of the 1950s toward something more relaxed, structural and informal. Rather than four conventional legs, the chair uses two sculpted ash side frames that sweep from the floor upward to support the back. Perfect buttoned cognac leather cushions supported by the cantilevered frame. Produced as Model 242 by France & Søn, Denmark. Three pairs available... total of six chairs. Sold as a pair.
