1950S HERMAN MILLER
Charles & Ray Eames Early LCW Lounge Chair
Charles & Ray Eames Early LCW Lounge Chair
An early pair of Charles and Ray Eames' iconic LCW lounge chairs for Herman Miller, dating to the 1950s. Developed from the Eameses' groundbreaking experiments with molded plywood, the LCW turns five simple wooden components into one of the most recognizable silhouettes of postwar American design. The seat and back appear almost suspended above the legs, connected by concealed rubber shock mounts rather than conventional joinery. Early production, with beautifully aged plywood and particularly expressive grain. Sold individually.
