Very similar stylistically to the Helsinki Central Railway Station chair designed by Antti Nurmesniemi. This tub-form chair was part of the later modernist production in Bystřice pod Hostýnem (Moravia, Czech) by TON (successor to Thonet) where bentwood tradition expanded into upholstered lounge chairs. Recently restored in a crisp white boucle. Czech, 1970s.
