Yrjö Kukkapuro is a Finnish designer known for his pioneering work in ergonomic furniture design, blending functionalism with experimental forms since the 1960s. This later post-modern design from 1982 combines Bauhaus functionality with Memphis-inspired graphic flair. Chrome-plated tubular steel cantilever base, ergonomically contoured black leather seating and contrasting red-painted wood arms/legs. Manufactured and marked by Avarte, Finland.
