1970S PEILL & PUTZLER
textured glass dome & brass table lamp, Germany
textured glass dome & brass table lamp, Germany
A large sculptural table lamp attributed to Peill & Putzler, featuring a beautifully textured glass dome supported by a substantial brass pedestal base. The heavily textured glass diffuses the light into a warm, atmospheric glow, with subtle variations in density giving the shade an almost ice-like appearance.
Produced in the tradition of Peill & Putzler's innovative postwar German lighting, the lamp combines a remarkably simple silhouette with an extraordinary treatment of glass.
