The original chair by Otto Frei was designed for the German Pavilion at the Expo Montreal in 1967. This version has dowel wood construction with a wonderful red lacquerer overall. Light canvas seating is wrapped to the frame and secured with hemp rope to the underside. Seat and narrow back are trimmed in a cognac leather. Staking pair - sold separately. Unknown manufacture.
