1960S VERNER BIRKSHOLM
beech & teak 55" tall cabinet on stand
beech & teak 55" tall cabinet on stand
A late 1960s Scandinavian design by cabinetmaker Verner Birksholm - a small local Danish workshop without a long history. This tall cabinet has a medium-stained teak square-form case with two large doors and dark-stained round door pulls. Interior with nine separate shelves indicating a place to store textiles. A wonderful contrasting light beechwood trim overall including the tall legs with lower stretchers. Possibly a collaboration with Clausen & Søn, Denmark. 1960s or early 1970s. Case will receive a refinish and door handle corrected, updated images to follow.
