1960S TUE POULSEN
rosewood and tile top coffee table, Denmark
rosewood and tile top coffee table, Denmark
Tile topped tables became very popular in Denmark from late 1960s to early 1970s - and Danish designer Tue Poulsen created a large number for Scandinavian manufactures. While he primarily worked with Haslev Møbelsnedkeri - he also designed pieces for lesser known regional ceramic studios. This one with a simple rectilinear form in rosewood with central ceramic tiles that are abstract, geometric, and muted. Signed by Tue - not identified to a specific manufacturer - Denmark likely.
Price includes refinish of rosewood frame, images not yet updated.
