1960S SCHIROLLI
2-door teakwood and pedestal steel sideboard
2-door teakwood and pedestal steel sideboard
Renzo Schirolli (1935–2000) was an influential figure at Schirolli & Co. in Mantova, Italy, where he served as an in-house designer from the 1950s into the 1970s. This rare sideboard (probably for an office) is constructed in solid teakwood with carved framing to all sides that softens the geometry. The pair of two sliding doors have vertical teak grain orientation and subtle raised detail. A distinctive two circular pedestal base in copper brushed steel. Exceptional Italian design. 1965.
