Hans J. Wegner was a Danish furniture designer and a leading figure in mid-century modern design, celebrated for blending functionality with elegant, organic forms. He worked closely with Danish manufacturer Getama starting in the 1950s to create comfortable, durable pieces with a modernist aesthetics. This 3-seat sofa has a beautiful brown leather overall with six loose cushions and attached arms/side panels. The modernist frame is solid oakwood. Designed in 1965 as Model 162 and produced by Getama, Denmark.
