Italian architect Giovanni Michelucci (1891-1990) was an early proponent of the Rationalist movement blending modernity with classical proportion. He was one of Italy's most influential architects and educators in Florence. This set of six dining chairs has perfectly proportioned dark-stained walnut frame and square legs. A nicely curved and elegant back rest with padded black leatherette seating. Model "Torbecchia" from Michelucci's hometown near Pistoia. Produced by Poltronova in Florence, 1960s. Set of six.
