This is French rustic stool with woven leather strap seats, a type that became quite popular in the mid-20th century but has roots in earlier provincial furniture traditions and often referred to as “rustique moderne”. Stained chestnut construction with carved legs and lower stretcher with visible joinery. Gorgeous leather strap seating secured with decorative nailhead trim.
