German furniture designer Carl Straub (1922–1996) trained in woodworking and became part of the postwar wave of German modernists who blended Scandinavian simplicity with German craftsmanship and durability. This pair of low slung slipper chairs has solid beechwood frames with cylindrical legs and stretcher rails. Pair of loose cognac leather cushions supported by a canvas sling. Manufactured 60s/70s by Deutsche Werkstätten Seiffen, Germany.
