oak and rattan "Norrland" sideboard/cabinet
oak and rattan "Norrland" sideboard/cabinet
Alf Svensson was one of the quiet masters of Swedish Modern in the postwar decades, known for furniture that balanced warm domesticity with disciplined modern form. This solid oakwood cabinet is named for "Norrland," northern Sweden and intentionally references Swedish rural craft traditions and has nicely carved inset trim around the case. Two front panel doors in a tightly woven rattan. Produced by Bjästa Snickerifabrik, in Sweden. Original key present. Price includes refinish of the case.
