Danish architects Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen established their own design studio in 1944 and were one of the most influential partnerships in modernist furniture and lighting thru the golden years of the Scandinavian design movement. This floor lamp was designed in 1956 with a classic red lacquered metal cone shade supported by nickel-plated steel stem. Nicely proportioned and balanced over a blackened metal base. Produced by the lighting powerhouse Lyfa based in Copenhagen as Model G126. Denmark.
