"Arco" series 63" metal desk or console, italy
Studio BBPR was formed in Milan by four architects (Barbiano Di Belgiojoso, Peressutti, Rogers)) in 1932 who were to become part of the Italian resistance movement. This desk or console is a perfect example of their post-war industrial office design. Classic imitation green leather top framed black plastic framing. Black painted metal revere "Y" shape side legs . "Floating" console top has new blackened wood top (not pictured).
Produced in the 1960s by Olivetti at their factory compound in Ivrea, Italy. The Arco series won the Compasso d'Oro Award in 1962.
