1950S H.W. KLEIN
89" teakwood sideboard w/sliding doors
89" teakwood sideboard w/sliding doors
A classic Scandinavian modern sideboard in a bright teakwood by Norwegian H.W. Klein (b. 1919). He had a particular attention to detail in design - and this sideboard does not disappoint. The basics: a pair of sliding doors on each side to an open case and a central case with four drawers. The detail: case trim widens at the ends to give the impression of a convex/concave structure, visible corner joinery in contrasting solid rosewood, offsetting half-round inset pulls to door and drawers. Rare use of complete veneer to the back so that the sideboard could be used in an open room. Manufactured at Bramming Møbelfabrik, Denmark 1950s.
