1950S GUILLERME ET CHAMBRON
oak and tile top extendable coffee table
oak and tile top extendable coffee table
The highly prolific duo of Robert Guillerme (1913–1990) and Jacques Chambron (1914–2001) created their own design studio in 1948 Lille France and named it “Votre Maison”. They didn't just create furniture - they also built one of the most celebrated interior design companies. This coffee table has a classic solid oakwood frame with interesting details included extendable sides that drop down. Inlaid with a panel of hand-crafted ceramic tiles, likely by frequent collaborator Boleslaw Danikowski. France, 1950s/60s.
