1950S GUGLIELMO VERONESI
pair of Italian butterfly lounge chair, felted wool
pair of Italian butterfly lounge chair, felted wool
Guglielmo Veronesi (1913–1990) was an Italian architect, industrial designer, and one of the key voices in Italy’s postwar design renaissance. His work embodies the optimism and glamour of Italy’s economic boom era - and this pair of armchairs certainly fits the bill. Gorgeous butterfly silhouette with a winged back sweeping gently upward. Recently updated in a perfect forest green Kvadrat felted wool. Very handsome pair - produced by Industria Salotti e Arredamenti in Ponte San Pietro (Bergamo), Italy.
