Audoux & Minet rustic modern rope framed mirror
Audoux & Minet rustic modern rope framed mirror
This is a striking and authentic example of a rope-framed mirror by Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet, circa 1940s–1950s. It exemplifies their signature rustic modernist style with a handcrafted, nautical flair. Elongated oval mirror is surrounded by tightly woven abaca or hemp rope dyed an earthly brown with a lighter twisted natural rope boarder. Topped with a whimsical looped rope peak. Produce in their studio in the town of Golfe-Juan, located between Cannes and Antibes on the Mediterranean coast.
