diminutive modernist armchair by Krásná Jizba

Established in 1927 by the Czechoslovak Art and Craft Cooperative (Svaz československého díla), Krásná Jizba aimed to promote well-designed, functional, and accessible household furnishings and decor rooted in modernist principles.  They produced a large quantity of furniture and home object for the leading Czech designers.  This pair is modest in scope by lots of detail: delicate shape to the back, beautifully carved arms and sleek modernist channeled upholstery.  Sold individually, pair available.  Czech 1950s.
